Seminar: Dementia: Why Women Have It Worse

Join us for our next professional development seminar with Dr. David Ajibade, founder of Brain and Body Foundation.
Dementia: Why Women Have It Worse
Join us to learn about women’s health and why women are disproportionately affected by
dementia (2x higher risk), experiencing faster and more severe cognitive decline than men due to a combination of
biological (including hormonal changes), lifestyle (nutrient deficiencies), and environmental factors.
Learn why women have the greatest caregiving burden – over 70% of all caregivers are women; 30% are daughters.
Dr. David Ajibade is an internationally recognized physician, health innovator, and thought leader dedicated
to transforming brain and body health across Africa, the USA, and beyond. As the Founder and Executive Director of the
Brain and Body Foundation and Brain and Body Solutions, he has spent over two decades at the forefront of research,
treatment, and public education on brain disorders, chronic diseases, and preventive health.
Drawing on his experience as the founder of Brain and Body Foundation and Brain and Body Solutions treating brain disorders/challenges ranging from autism in children to Alzheimer’s disease in adults, Dr Ajibade will explain how factors such as the drops in certain hormones during menopause affect brain energy and synaptic health, highlight key nutrient and lifestyle factors that make women more vulnerable, and provide practical strategies that women can use to protect their brains, strengthen cognitive resilience, throughout midlife and beyond, and slow cognitive decline.
